Rehab4Life LLP are dedicated neurolawyers. Go to our Who Are We page for details. We do nothing else but acquired brain and spinal injury law with the emphasis on rehabilitation.

Our drive is and always has been optimal physical and psychological recovery – not record damages. Rehabilitation is always at the top of our shopping list, and is ahead of any other consideration, by miles.

A client's rehabilitation and peace of mind are absolutes. No compromises. No excuses. No apologies.

That is why we spent three years developing the Rehab4Life Scheme.

Early Multi Disciplinary Neurorehabilitation – the facts

  1. Timely, comprehensive and skilled neuro-rehabilitation will, in the majority of instances, significantly improve overall physical and/or psychological recovery in TBI cases.
  2. For many, a lack of, or inadequate, rehabilitation will reduce an individual’s eventual level of independence and quality of life.
  3. Early intervention is associated with an improved outcome.
  4. Rehabilitation, in general terms, is cost-effective as it not only optimises levels of function but will also serve, in many cases, to reduce the individual’s dependence on others and/or enhance the prospects of vocational rehabilitation.
  5.  NHS provision in the field of TBI is woefully inadequate throughout the country – and is worse in some areas than others (”the post code lottery”).
  6. The only way to guarantee optimal and timely neuro-rehabilitation is to pay for it.
  7. Practical experience of the working of the present system (including the Rehabilitation Code) shows that there are many cases in which optimal recovery following intensive rehabilitation is not achieved due to a combination of delay or funding issues (particularly where there is disagreement over what rehabilitation should be provided, by whom, and when).

The Rehab4Life Scheme

A unique scheme that facilitates early intensive multi disciplinary neurorehabilitation for innocent seriously brain and spinal injured accident victims, within weeks of their injury. It also facilitates payment, if needed, of loss of earnings during those early times, to aid financial stability. Basically, up to £100,000 is available for the rehabilitation/case management aspect and a further £25,000 for loss of earnings.

Benefits to clients

This needs no explanation to solicitors who undertake this sort of work regularly. The whole ethos behind Rehab4Life is based on the priceless value of optimal and timely rehabilitation for the client, according to the client’s choice and control, as well as financial security and peace of mind. It follows, therefore, that the scheme has been designed to benefit the victim first and foremost,

The benefits to solicitors. Why should you be a panel member?

In a recession bitten profession, staying one step ahead of your competitors is essential if you want to improve or even retain your current share of the market. Innovation is the key and this scheme provides the platform for its members to take advantage of its many benefits. The future acquisition of clients who have suffered brain or spinal injuries will be won by the firms who can offer direct and immediate benefits to their clients. Client acquisition

A client, or their family, is more likely to instruct a firm who can offer a package of timely optimal neurorehabilitation and loss of earnings to support them through this difficult time.

NHS and PCT Staff, when considering the best interests for their patients, are more likely to recommend a firm which can offer the scheme than one that can’t.

Case manager referrals are likely to be significantly enhanced to panel members given that they will have access to the funds to make early payments for the treatment. In the current economic climate this single factor can be very persuasive.

Current media and press coverage is creating awareness of the scheme to the consumer who, as a consequence, may select their law firm with this as essential criteria.

Client retention

Once the client has had the benefit of the scheme he is less likely to wish to move to another solicitor; your commitment to them will be reflected with their loyalty to you.

Your contact with the client, albeit through rehabilitation specialists, in the early days of the case will reinforce the solicitor/client bond.

Firm’s status

Membership is only available to those firms who can demonstrate exceptional ability and experience in dealing with traumatic brain and spinal injuries.

The number of members on the panel is restricted and therefore the “elite” will be able to offer something over and above that of their competitors and reflects that they are “recognised in their field”.

Membership demonstrates that the firm is cutting edge and pioneering in its approach to innovative ways of enhancing the service that provides to its clients.

Marketing

New and unique is news! Your membership to this exclusive scheme is new for you, your area, your clients and your business. Why not do a press release? Free advertising by way of an article could be yet another way of keeping ahead of your competition.

Approach your local PCT and case managers from a different angle, enhanced by the benefits of panel membership.

As can be seen, there is substantial value not only to the clients, but also to the firm in being a panel member. It is submitted that the costs to value ratio is extremely attractive, all of this for less than the cost of a medium sized advert in a local paper for 2 nights. The scheme provides all year round marketing opportunities together with an enhanced client service which will give the firm the edge in today’s highly competitive market, over non-scheme members.

Also, the firm may utilise the Rehab4Life logo.

Other major added value

The scheme enables you and your client to approach the issue of rehabilitation confidently and professionally, unfettered by uncertainty. You can guarantee, by being a panel member, much needed early optimal multi disciplinary neurorehabilitation whatever the position on liability and/or interim payment availability, within weeks of injury, or of being instructed. This is hugely valuable to both client and the firm.

Since rehabilitation ideally includes the timely appointment of a case manager in many cases, the scheme can be used to retain and pay for a case manager (the only prescription the scheme makes is that solicitors must use BABICM members) at a very early stage. This too is hugely valuable to both client and the firm on a number of levels.

You will be part of an elite group. The scheme is only available to excellent practitioners in this field. Your firm’s details will be included on our web site as a panel firm promoting your services. If accepted onto the scheme, you will be one of no more than 50 firms in England and Wales on the panel. General notes

Membership is also subject to acceptance by the schemes funders and insurers. The Rehab4Life scheme panel membership application form is a composite form and, together with all documentation in support, will be copied and supplied to the funders and insurers as part of the assessment and approval programme.

The result of an application for membership is likely to take between 2 and 4 weeks following the date of interview.
